1. Re-entry Permission: A foreign national who wishes to leave Japan for his/her home country or other countries temporally and re-enter to continue his/her previously granted immigration status in Japan within the authorized period of stay needs not newly obtain a visa from a Japanese embassy or consulate, if he/she has obtained a re-entry permission before leaving Japan. The term of validity of the permission is limited to within the applicantfs expired period and the maximum is 3 years.

2. Permission to Acquire Status of Residence: A foreign national who is born in Japan etc. may stay through this application within 30 days of the occurrence.

3. Petition for transfer of endorsement: If a foreign national has lost a passport or has it stolen, you cannot leave Japan without it. He/she needs to have new passport or a travel document from his/her consulate, and apply for transfer <re-stamp> of endorsement of his/her status from Immigration office.
