【 Reasons for denial of landing 】 Any foreigner who was sentenced to a penalty because of violation of any law or regulation relating to control of narcotics, marijuana, opium, and other drugs, or was sentenced to imprisonment with or without labor for one year or more because of violation of any other law or regulation will be denied permission for landing. 【 Measure against Crimes by Foreigners 】 Any foreigner who is sentenced to imprisonment with or without labor on the charge of a certain category of crimes referred to in the Penal Code of Japan, the Law Concerning Punishment of Physical Violence and Others or the Law of for Prevention and Punishment of Robbery and Theft including cases where the sentence would be imprisonment for a period of one year or less or a suspended sentence, will be subject to deportation procedures. In addition, any foreigner who is deported for any of the above reasons will be denied permission for landing in Japan for 5 years.
